How to Use the Fuel Consumption Calculator

Enter your generator size, fuel type, and operating conditions to get an accurate fuel consumption estimate. The calculator uses non-linear partial-load curves based on aggregate manufacturer data from Clifford Power, Hardy Diesel, and Worldwide Power Products — not the simplified linear estimates you’ll find elsewhere.

Results include altitude and temperature derating per ISO 8528-1, engine age adjustments, and a cost projection at current fuel prices. For healthcare facilities, use the companion 96-Hour Fuel Rule Calculator to check CMS compliance.
